Optimizing energy consumption is a key aspect of our sustainability journey. Therefore, Metlac constantly monitors its energy needs, adopting solutions to make production more efficient and less impactful. The installation of advanced monitoring systems allows us to identify areas for improvement and progressively reduce energy consumption.

Thanks to investments in renewable energy, the percentage of energy from sustainable sources is steadily increasing, with the goal of reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. In addition, production process efficiency enables us to curb energy waste and improve our overall performance.

Toward reducing the carbon footprint

The fight against climate change goes through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Metlac accurately measures its impact, taking into account both direct emissions (Scope 1), resulting from production activities, and indirect emissions (Scope 2), related to the consumption of electricity purchased from third parties.

We have adopted a long-term decarbonization strategy, which includes targeted energy efficiency measures and the integration of innovative technologies to progressively reduce our environmental impact. Constant monitoring enables us to identify key emission sources and implement corrective actions to minimize them.
